Retro Americana Red White Cherry Vintage Vespa Wedding with Stationery by In the Treehouse

We always love having a chance to collaborate with fabulous professionals in the wedding industry, and I was particularly excited when the very talented Elle of Inspire Hire got in touch about a red and white, retro Americana theme photo shoot with cherry details and fun styling…. I adapted our ‘Motown‘ design to complement Elle’s ideas – and here are the results, captured beautifully by Emma Solley Photography.

I hope you like it! If you use Pinterest, we have created a board with this theme here.

‘Bold is Beautiful’ Styled Photo Shoot…

Posted in: In the Treehouse Blog on Monday, February 4th, 2013

One of the most exciting parts of our work is collaborating with other wedding industry creatives for styling photo shoots and events – we were thrilled when Gabi of Something Blue PR contacted us about designing the stationery and paper goods for their annual press event… The theme was ‘Bold is Beautiful’ and the brief was geometric prints (chevrons in particular), a bright and lovely colour palette of teal, purple and fuchsia with a hint of gold sparkle… To fit with the fun and playful nature of the styling, I wanted to think out of the box with the stationery and came up with the idea of paper bow place cards as opposed to the traditional folded, or tag style which are our bestsellers. We think the bows work really well on the table and look forward to adding them to our collections. I hope you enjoy and feel inspired by these images which were all captured by the lovely Catherine Mead. A big thank you from us to the team at Something Blue PR, as well as all the other creative companies who helped make the event look so wonderful…

Styled Photo Shoot at Shilstone House, Devon

Posted in: In the Treehouse Blog on Thursday, August 16th, 2012

We were recently approached by Jenny of Jenny Rose Flowers, who asked us to provide some of our Vintage Bird stationery in peach & grey for a photo shoot at the beautiful Shilstone House, Devon. The styling of the day was vintage inspired with gorgeous soft & warm tones, stunning flowers and lovely cakes. Lucy Shergold captured the mood perfectly with the photography…

I love all these images and feel really proud to have our work featured – I hope you like them too, and please allow me to take this opportunity to thank Jenny for asking us to contribute.

Leanne’s Bridal Tea Party

Posted in: In the Treehouse Blog on Wednesday, June 27th, 2012

Leanne. One of my best, best friends in the entire world since we were about 12. We have journeyed through many a cringeworthy childhood phase together, a few teenage heartbreaks, an almost-sickness-inducing solitary cigarette behind a shed (sorry mum), lots of school discos and lots of lovely, happy, the-kind-you’ll-never-forget moments. Some which spring to mind in our grown up lives have been…

1: the moment I shared my pregnancy news with Leanne, as well as the time she came to visit me and my two-day-old baby in hospital.

2: the moment Leanne told me she was engaged (to the very lovely man who now happens to also be the Treehouse Keeper, Matt)

3: Leanne’s amazing (surprise) hen party in Paris.

4: Leanne’s beautiful Bridal tea party (read on for more details…)

5: Leanne’s wedding day. Truly amazing.

So, for this blog feature I’m going to share with you some lovely pictures from number 4. Leanne’s beautiful Bridal Tea Party.

Marie Antoinette inspired Photo Shoot for Wed Magazine..

Posted in: In the Treehouse Blog on Wednesday, June 20th, 2012

We recently co-styled a Marie Antoinette inspired Bridal Photo Shoot with Devon Vintage China for publication in the lovely Wed magazine. The shoot was a great success & featured across 3 full pages of issue 11 of Wed…

The shoot looks great in print – thanks so much to all the suppliers who contributed & worked hard before and on the day to help us achieve this…

The inspiration was taken from the elegance & timeless glamour of Marie Antoinette – with Powderham Castle’s music room providing the perfect backdrop for all the pretty details in soft hues of aqua, smokey blue, grey & pale pink.

Co-Stylist Jan of Devon Vintage China had fun spray painting pineapples & pears metallic gold as table decorations!

(Above) A lovely sweet table with Nibble & Scoff’s fantastic cookie fans as the star.

Menus with hand cut lace borders to tie all the details together…

Check out this stunning cake made by the super talented Lorna of Ezziecakes - what a masterpiece…

Thanks to all the amazing contributors who helped us pull it off!
